Here's the tour to Edinburgh, with many pictures:

Back to the Guestbook

Aberdeen & more

First: a nice afternoon in the meadows

On my last weekend in Scotland I took the bus to the North, visiting Dundee first

The replacement for the famous railway bridge in Dundee

A mothballed majestic sailing ship

What's that?

Some time later I recogniced it...

The toilet of the Gallery of Modern Art in Dundee

The Discovery Point, which is installed for...

this ship: Captain Scott's famous Royal Research Ship RSS Discovery

The McManus Galleries

(some hours later)

The railway station, and the harbour in the background

Aberdeen is build of granite, which makes the city quite gray

Some support vessels in the harbour - supplying all the oil rigs

Union Street

Work in progress - on some old cellars

The Marischal College - the worlds second largest granite building

In the college there is a collection of strange things from all over the world

The impressing model of an oil rig is in the Maritime Museum!

In the late afternoon I took a walk through the harbour

Can you see the white spots? Those all are sea gulls!

They were sitting all over there

Got a hot tea in there - and a chat with a man working on oil rigs

Early in the morning there is a fish market on this place

Proceed to the next day(s)
